How do I unlock new Characters in the game?

Since the new update, there are different ways to unlock new characters in the game.

1. By completing new builder areas in the game.
2. Win them from the Prize Wheel
3. Buy them from the store.
4. Collect enough character cards to unlock a character. You can collect these character cards as pickups on the track during a race.
