What are character abilities, and how can I upgrade them?

All the characters share the same 5 different abilities, with the max level of each ability depending on the character. These abilities, most of which are collected during a race, are:

• Dash Boost: a high speed boost that lets you blast through obstacles;
• x2 Multiplier, which doubles any points you earn;
• Magnet, which attracts nearby rings;
• Shield, which protects you from most types of damage; and
• Headstart, which means you start the race with a Dash Boost.

To access the abilities menu, tap the character icon on the main menu screen. From here you can select any of the characters you have unlocked to view and upgrade their stats.

To upgrade their abilities, you will need to collect a specific amount of characters cards for the character as well as spend rings which you can collect by taking part in the races.
